USER LEVEL:  Only an enCASE District Test Coordinator (DTC) has access to this feature.  


Reserving items from an Item Bank allows a DTC to create a classroom assessment using the items and then hide the items from the item bank by making them "private." This prevents other users from viewing or using the items until the following school year or until the DTC makes them available again by making them "public." The DTC can assign the assessment to classrooms for teachers to administer to their students.

If you are a DTC, you may reserve assessment items by following these steps:

  1. From the Assessments menu on the top menu bar, choose Classroom.
  2. Locate the classroom assessment (created from an Item Bank) using the available filters.
  3. Slide the Public-Private switch to “Private” to hide the items in the item bank.
  4. Slide the switch to “Public” to return the questions to the item bank, making them available for others.
